Midwest Fest VI
September 26-28, 2013 - Mt. Pleasant, MI
NEWS + INFO
SLIGHT LINEUP CHANGE TONIGHT
Due to circumstances beyond our control thanks to an angry neighbor (even though it's all college kids next door), we now have to end music outside by 11:30pm. This means a schedule change for tonight.
Dead Rover 7:45-8:15 - MMR Patio Stage
Hawk & Son 8:30-9:00 - MMR Patio Stage
the Watching Eyes 9:05-9:35 - Mt. Pleasant Brewing Main Stage
Carielle 9:40-10:10 outside - MMR Patio Stage
Killer Kong 10:15-10:45 - Mt. Pleasant Brewing Main Stage
Pioneer Parade 10:50-11:20 - MMR Patio Stage
Moses 11:25-12:10 inside - Mt. Pleasant Brewing Main Stage
Crane Wives 12:30-end inside - Mt. Pleasant Brewing Main Stage
We have less than a week until Midwest Fest is upon us! Tickets are still available on our Brown Paper Tickets site, from Hunter's Ale House in Mt. Pleasant, or from local bands Killer Kong, The Watching Eyes, Benthos and Moses.
We've also had a slight change to the lineup on Saturday night. Dinny Bulca will no longer be playing MWFest due to a scheduling conflict. Local band "Dead Rover" will take their place. Dead Rover rose from the ashes of the now defunct Farwell, MI band "Delightfuls", who were our next alternate to make the lineup.
Update! + Details about the event
RSVP to the event page for MWFest VI on Facebook.
Also, tonight I met with the folks at Hunter's to discuss some details of the event. For the Wednesday kickoff, they'll have 1/2 off all pitchers and $3 Long Islands! Specials for the rest of the weekend will be determined soon.
One thing we did discuss though is the 2nd stage. It will be in an outdoor beer tent to be located to the south of their existing patio. This will give us a lot more room for the 2nd stage and allow us to have it "outdoors" rain or shine!
Tickets are still available at mwfest.brownpapertickets.com and will soon be avilable from local bands as well as at Hunter's Ale House. Stay tuned for more updates!

Help us pick the lineup!
Starting this Wednesday, you will be able to help us decide the final 6 bands on this year's MWFest lineup. The first 21 are already set and a pool of 24 more have been chosen by our selection committee. Starting on Wednesday, you'll be able to vote via our Facebook and Twitter pages to determine the 6 of those 24 that make the final lineup.
There will be a Facebook poll question on our page, and you'll be able to send us your 6 choices to @mwfest on Twitter. You may vote once per method.
We are pleased to announce that for the first time ever, we'll be able to have vendor tables at Midwest Fest VI. If you're interested, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or click the link in the header of this page.
We are also always seeking sponsorship, with packages ranging from $50 on up to becoming a headlining sponsor for just $500. For more info, please email us at email@example.com or click the link in the header of this page.
Band submissions are now closed
Submissions to play this year's festival are now closed. We will continue to vote on each band for the next week or so and you'll be receiving an email next week with an update about the status of your submission.
Please keep an eye on the email you provided us with your submission.
Sorry we suck at updating!
Band submissions close on April 15th.
You have until midnight that day to apply your band, your solo project or whatever you may have on our "Submit to Play" page
We are going after some pretty awesome headliners this year, one that has played before and several new ones to fill our 3 headlining spots this year. We canŐt wait to share the lineup with you on June 3rd!
Until then, either apply your own band or suggest to some of your favorite bands that they apply. Thanks!
Submissions are now open!
Head on over to our Submit to Play page and fill out the submission form for your band or musical project to be considered for the Midwest Fest VI lineup!
Submissions are open until April 15th. A secondary online poll to select the final six spots will run for a week in May. The lineup will be announced and tickets go on sale Monday, June 3rd.
Submissions open Friday
The 6th annual Midwest Fest gets itself rolling this Friday, March 1 when the submissions form goes live and we start scouring through all of the bands interested in playing this year's event!
Once again the selection process will be via a 12-14 member panel of promoters, venue managers, radio and print media, and booking managers. There's a twist this year though: The final 6 spots on the lineup will be chosen via an online public vote. More power to the people!
The website will be getting added functionality throughout this week as well. Check back!
